Starfield – How to Get & Use Boostpacks
/Yo, space traveler!! You ready to zoom around like Tony Stark? Well, in Starfield, the closest you’re gonna get to that Iron Man fly-around action is with the Boostpack. But before you can start defying gravity there’s a few hoops to jump through. No worries – I gotchu…
Skills First, Fly Later
Okay, first things first, boostpacks are the real deal in Starfield. Imagine just strapping on a little backpack and suddenly, boom, you’re zipping around on the moon or any other stellar surface. But hold up – it ain’t as easy as just grabbing one and blasting off; there’s a catch, yeahhh there’s always one…
You’ve got a whole Tech Skill thing going on in the game. And if you want to roll with a boostpack, you’ve got to have the right Tech Skill for it. Kinda like you wouldn’t hand the car keys to someone who hasn’t learned to drive, right? You need the Boost Pack Training Skill. Once you’ve got that, the universe is your playground.
Gettin’ That Boostpack
If you’re itching to get a Boostpack ASAP:
- Right after you’re done with the game’s first combat sequence, loot those space pirates! It’s hit or miss, but who knows?? You might strike gold and find a pack with a Basic Boostpack.
- Dive into the main storyline. Follow the One Small Step mission and jet down to the Constellation HQ in New Atlantis. Keep it rolling, chat up Sarah Morgan, and choose to roll with Constellation. Finish up the mission, and bam! A Constellation Pack with a Basic Boostpack is yours for the taking.
How to Use
You’ve got the skills and the gear on lock, now let’s make that boostpack do its thing!! First up, make sure you’re strapped in with it. Ready? Just hit that double-jump action. Boom! This bad boy’s gonna give you some serious lift, whether you’re going sky-high or just wanna zoom ahead. But yo, keep those eyes on your fuel – peep it down in the bottom-right of your screen. Good news? It fills back up on its own, so don’t trip too hard about running out…
TL;DR?
- Get the Boost Pack Training Skill either by choosing the Bounty Hunter or Soldier background or by reaching Level 2.
- Find a boostpack by looting pirates or completing the One Small Step mission.
- Double-jump to fly and explore like you’ve never done before!!
