Street Fighter 6: How to Unlock Alternate Outfits and Colors

Street Fighter 6 offers a variety of customization options for players to alter their favorite characters’ looks. These options include alternate costumes and additional color variants. This guide will explain how to unlock these options.

Unlocking Alternate Outfits

There are primarily two methods for unlocking alternate outfits for each character:

Purchasing from the In-Game Shop

If you’re eager to get your hands on an alternate outfit & don’t mind spending some in-game currency, you can buy it from the shop. Each alternate outfit costs 50 Fighter Coins. Buying an outfit in this manner automatically unlocks all of the outfit’s color variations, making it a worthwhile use of your Fighter Coins.

Completing Story Mode and Using Heat Packs

This method involves playing a character extensively in the game’s story mode to increase your affinity bond with them. Once this bond level reaches 100%, you unlock the character’s alternate outfit.

For those interested in unlocking outfits without spending real-world money, there’s an alternative method that involves the in-game currency, Zenny, and items called Heat Packs.

You can earn Zenny quickly by engaging in certain activities, such as parrying basketballs at Urban Park. This activity rewards you with Zenny based on your performance, and you can repeat it until you’ve amassed around 100,000 Zenny.

Purchasing Heat Packs

You can use your Zenny to buy Heat Packs from the shopkeeper, Udon.

Giving Heat Packs to your Mentor

The last step is to give these Heat Packs to your mentor character in the game, like Ryu at Genbu Temple. Each Heat Pack increases your mentor’s friendship level by 2. Once you reach a friendship level of 100 by giving enough Heat Packs, your mentor’s alternate costume is unlocked.

Unlocking Additional Colors

Although the methods described above allow you to unlock the default color and color variations for alternate outfits, unlocking additional color options for the first outfit requires a different process:

Earning Drive Tickets

This is the first method for unlocking additional colors for your characters in Street Fighter 6. Exact methods for earning these tickets may vary, but they’re generally obtainable through gameplay or possibly included in future updates or DLC.

Purchasing Color Bundles

With a sufficient amount of Drive Tickets, you can also buy color bundles (colors 3-9) for each character from the in-game shop. These outfit-specific bundles only unlock additional colors for the specific outfits they are purchased for.
