Super Mario Odyssey – How to Unlock Extra Hearts & Health

If a section of the game proves to be too tough, you can press “+” on your controller to open the pause menu and select Options, and then Choose Mode to activate Assist Mode.

In this mode, you’ll receive extra Hearts, which can be pretty handy if you need help. Other features of this mode include one that will allow you to quickly resume play if you fall somewhere dangerous, one that restores your life if you stand still, and an arrow that will show you which way to go.
