SUPER PEOPLE Beginner’s Guide: Pro Tips and Tricks
By now, you are probably well familiar with the battle royale genre. Apex Legends, Warzone, and the worldwide phenomenon that is Fortnite have made sure that battle royales have all but taken over the gaming world. Each of these games has the same core concepts while branching out in different ways to create their own individualized experience, and they now have a brand-new entrant to contend with that is bringing its own unique flavor to the battle royale arena.
That game is SUPER PEOPLE, which is being developed by the Korean studio Wonder People and published by Wonder Games. In this over-the-top battle royale, each player will take on the role of a super-soldier, complete with inhuman strength and abilities. This feature already sets SUPER PEOPLE apart and makes it clear why the game has blown up in popularity so quickly.
If you’re part of that initial wave of SUPER PEOPLE fans and you’re looking for a way to get ahead of the competition, then you’ll find some helpful tips and tricks in this SUPER PEOPLE Beginner’s Guide. Join us as we go over some of the best ways to make the most of each round, and how to use your powers to come out on top.
Don’t Ignore Crafting
A feature that SUPER PEOPLE has that many of the more popular battle royales have chosen to skip is crafting. Throughout each match, it is possible to craft upgrades for the equipment that you pick up to increase its rarity, and therefore its overall power.
This is a great way to go from a weapon that is “just ok”, to one that is a force to be reckoned with in the right hands. However, in the heat of battle you might be more focused on fighting who is in front of you rather than collecting materials and taking the time to upgrade your equipment. That’s why it is so important for SUPER PEOPLE players to slow down occasionally, find some shelter, and check to see what they can craft to help them through the next part of a match.
Grab Those Energy Bars
Along with your standard battle royale equipment, you’ll also come across energy bars as you play SUPER PEOPLE. There are a few different kinds of these bars, and none of them replenish your health (you’ll need different items for that), but they do give you powerful buffs. If you can master the art of using the right energy bar at the right time, it’ll make you a much better SUPER PEOPLE player.
The kinds of bars you can obtain are Speed Energy Bars, Defense Energy Bars, and Power Energy Bars. The dark blue speed bars increase your mobility by 15% for 90 seconds. If you find yourself in some trouble and need to make a quick getaway, munching down one of these speed bars will help you out in a hurry. Similarly, defense and power bars will repair your armor and give you a damage boost, respectively. Just note that the effects of these bars can not be stacked, so only take one at a time to avoid wasting buffs.
Look for the Light
When you’re in the looting stage of any match and you have all of the guns you’d like to move forward with, you’ll want to start looking for attachments for those guns. When you open a crate or stumble into a room full of items, you might be a little overwhelmed by all of the options since you just want to know what you can use right away so you can get moving.
To mitigate this anxiety, just keep an eye out for the attachments with the white light outline. This specific color of outline indicates that the attachment is compatible with the weapons you have on you, so you can pick them up without thinking too hard about it and sort them out later.
Familiarize Yourself With the Characters
SUPER PEOPLE has 13 different classes that are represented by different characters. Each one plays largely the same, it is a shooter after all, but where they differ is what makes the game interesting. There is an array of different skills and abilities possessed by each of these characters, and depending on how you play the game, some might work better for you than others.
So it’s a good idea to spend some time with each character, testing out their skills before you lock yourself into learning any particular class. This will save you time in the long run over randomly picking a character and practicing with that one, only to find out later that it isn’t optimal for your playstyle.
