Starting with a single horse, you’ll forge lasting bonds and hone your skills. As you dive into this equestrian world, you’ll gradually expand your stable.

Rivershine! Getting Started: Your First Horse & Stable

It all begins with your first horse! You can acquire one from the auction house, but remember, they won’t have any trust in you right off the bat. Earning a horse’s trust requires caring for it, riding it, and spending quality time with it.

Of course, your stable is your horse’s home. You start with room for just two horses, but don’t worry. As you progress in Rivershine you can upgrade your stables, allowing you to house up to 12 horses at a time.

Training Your Horses & Competing

Now, the real fun begins! You can improve your horse’s speed, endurance, jumping ability, and flexibility just by riding them. For instance, making sharp turns during your rides will improve the horse’s flexibility. However, remember that each horse has a potential limit, and once they’ve reached their peak, their skills cannot be improved further.

Enter cross country competitions when you feel ready to challenge others. Winning will not only earn you gold but also fame and respect in the local community.

Stable upgrades are crucial as they allow you to accommodate more horses and increase your ranch’s productivity.

Your ranch has several upgradeable areas. Alongside the stable, you can build additional pastures, an indoor arena, and a round pen. Each upgrade enhances your ranch’s functionality, providing more space for various activities and improving your horses’ training and care.

Earning Gold

Aside from competitions, you can earn gold by selling horses in the auction house, completing quests, and selling foraged items to local merchants. Also, growing your own horse feed is another way to save money and increase your income. You can purchase seeds from a local farmer and expand your ranch to grow more feed over time.

Seasons and Weather

Various aspects of the game are influenced by a dynamic cycle of seasons and weather patterns. For example, certain crops can only be grown in specific seasons, and horse care requirements can vary depending on the weather. It’s crucial to shelter your horses during winter or rainy days. Strategic planning is key.

The Town of Rivershine

The lively town of Rivershine serves as a central hub in the game. Here, you’ll come across a variety of shops and friendly villagers. You can buy items, accept quests, or simply engage in casual chit-chat with the locals. The town is home to many villagers, with ten playing major roles through their unique stories and dialogues. Building friendships with these villagers can yield helpful tips, additional quests, and gifts.

Customizing Your Experience

Horse Customization

While you cannot directly alter a horse’s appearance, you have the ability to groom them and style their manes into various hairstyles. As their hair grows over time, you can trim it to maintain a particular style or braid it into different designs. You can also mix and match your horse’s tack to create a unique look for each of your horses.

Tackless Riding

In Ranch of Rivershine, you’re not limited to riding with tack. If you prefer a more natural riding experience, you have the option to remove all tack and equipment from your horse.
