Total War: PHARAOH – Terrain Types
/In Total War: PHARAOH, the terrain you’re on really matters when moving your squad around.
Terrain Types
- Forest: Most units can use the woods to stay low-key, keeping them out of the enemy’s line of sight. It’s a solid shield against ranged shots too. But chariots? They’re a rough fit for dense trees. If those woods catch fire, that cover is gone.
- Tall Grass: Units with the “Hide in Scrub” skill can blend right into tall grass, almost like they’re invisible. But be careful – if that grass catches fire, you’re out in the open again.
- Sand: How quick your units move on sand really depends on how heavy they are. The heavier the unit, the slower they go.
- Mud: Mud’s a real drag. It slows down your units, messes with their defense, and throws off their offense. Chariots? They have an extra hard time. Like with sand and shallow water, the heavyweights feel it the most.
- Shallow Water: Moving through shallow water? Expect a slow ride. It’s even rougher for the big units, kinda like how they struggle on sand.
