Victoria 3: How to Move Generals Between Fronts

Moving your generals from one spot to another? No sweat. Click the general you wanna shift, hit ‘Advance Front’ or ‘Defend Front’, then choose where you want them. You can either peep the list on the left to see how many troops are at each front (though it won’t show troops in transit), or just click directly on the map. The go-to spots will pop up in green, while the no-go areas are in red.

Once you pick a new front, your general will start heading there ASAP. Wanna know how long it’ll take? Hover over the front’s icon or select the general to see an ETA in days. And no need to stress about them getting jumped while moving – generals are untouchable in transit, even if stuff’s popping off at sea. One thing to remember: if your general’s in the middle of a scrap, you gotta wait until that’s over before giving new orders…
