Looking to level up your Paladin in Classic WoW? Here are some tips to help you speed through:
- Target Mobs Your Own Size: Stick to fighting mobs that are at your level to get the full XP rewards. If they’re a level higher, you’ll get a bit less XP, and if they’re a level lower, expect a 10-20% cut in your XP gains.
- Smart Spell Usage: Use your spells and abilities at the start of the fight to get your mana regenerating quickly, then use basic attacks to finish off the mobs.
- Keep Things Rolling: If your Health or Mana is always full, you might be taking it too easy. Get into more fights, take some smart risks, and use those resources to keep the momentum going.
- Mix Up Your Attacks: Be ready to change up your damage rotation based on the situation, considering things like your ability ranks, the mob’s level and special abilities, and your own gear.
- Pick the Right Weapon: For Paladins, the weapon’s Damage range is more important than its DPS because of how it works with certain abilities like Seal of Righteousness and Seal of Command.
- Healing in Any Spec: Once you hit level 40, you can heal pretty well in any spec with Blessing of Light and a lower-ranked Holy Light.
- Use Judgement Wisely: Remember, Judgement doesn’t trigger the Global Cooldown, so you can use it strategically.
- Save Your Gold: Don’t bother buying higher ranks of some abilities like Hammer of Justice, or the base ranks of others like Exorcism and Holy Wrath – save your gold for other things.
- Reckoning Stacks: You might not need all 4 stacks of Reckoning to take down a mob, so experiment and see what works best.
- Seal of Command and Reckoning: Just a heads up, Seal of Command only procs off the first auto attack after a Reckoning Bomb, so keep that in mind when you’re grinding.
- About Your Mount: Your Paladin mount is actually a spell, so summoning it will pause your mana regen and you can’t cast it while you’re waiting on your Global Cooldown.
