A hot debate among Hunters is which pets are the top picks for leveling up in World of Warcraft Classic. There’s a whole zoo of pets out there, each with its own pros and cons.
We’ve rounded up some of the fan favorites, but at the end of the day, you gotta choose the one that vibes with you, based on what you’re looking for and, well, if you think they look cool!!
- Cats – For many Hunters, when it comes to dishing out damage, Cats are where it’s at. They often have the fastest attack speed, meaning they can lay the smackdown quicker than other pets. Alliance folks can find a bunch of them early on, but Horde players? They’ll have to trek to the Barrens before choosing their feline friend. And a little tip: Cats’ main move is the Claw, which is quick and doesn’t drain as much focus as Bite. Plus, its damage output makes it a solid starter move.
- Boar – They might not be your go-to for raw damage, but Boars are kinda the chill, easy-to-deal-with pets. They’re sturdy enough for most showdowns and help you tackle tougher foes without breaking a sweat. And here’s the kicker: Boars are total foodies. While some pets turn up their noses at certain foods, Boars are like, “I’ll eat that!” So, when you’re out questing, you can just toss them whatever goodies you find.
- Wind Serpent – Talk about a standout! Wind Serpents are some of the raddest looking pets. Aside from their epic appearance, they pack a punch with their Lightning Breath attack, which cuts through armor like butter. The catch? You won’t bump into them until you hit the Wailing Caverns. That means Alliance Hunters might be waiting a bit before getting one of these bad boys.
