How to Unlock Artisan Cooking
So you’ve reached 225 Cooking skill, you’re Level 35 and you’re ready to make the leap from burning bread to becoming a culinary legend.
Well, good news: It’s time for the Artisan Cooking questline! Here’s what you need to know before embarking on this egg-hunting, clam-shucking adventure.
Alliance Players
Head on over to Daryl Riknussun in Ironforge. He’ll hit you with the quest “I Know A Guy.”, because apparently, Daryl’s got connections.
Pack your bags and head on over to Gadgetzan in Tanaris to meet with the culinary legend himself, Dirge Quikcleave. (Yes, that’s his actual name.)
Horde Players
Speak with Zamja in Orgrimmar, who will put you on the quest “To Gadgetzan You Go!”, because no good Horde quest doesn’t involve a very long journey.
Head over to Gadgetzan in Tanaris and locate Dirge Quikcleave, who’s basically the Gordon Ramsay of Azeroth.
What Dirge Wants
Dirge is going to demand the following before he lets you join his elite chef squad:
- 12 Giant Eggs (from the kind of birds that would terrify you in real life).
- 10 Zesty Clam Meat (because clams are apparently the spice of life).
- 20 Alterac Swiss (cheese. It’s cheese).
