WoW Classic Season of Discovery: How to Get Icy Veins

Icy Veins? It’s this cool ability that supercharges your spellcasting. Boosts your speed by 20% & stops interruptions from hits while casting… Lasts 20 seconds, super handy for frost mages.

The Hunt for the Books

Now, to get your hands on Icy Veins, you gotta play a bit of a treasure hunt… You need to snag 10 books scattered all over the place & bring them back to a Librarian type NPC. If you’re chilling in the Undercity, look for Owen Thadd. He’s usually hanging around at 72, 31 – can’t miss him.

For the Horde

If you’re rollin’ with the Horde, here’s where you need to hit up:

Brill’s Alchemy Shop in Tirisfal Glades (52, 51). Sneak in & grab The Apothecary’s Metaphysical Primer.

The Sepulcher in Silverpine Forest (39, 39) is where you’ll find Ataeric: On Arcane Curiosities.

Don’t miss out on The Lessons Of Ta’zo in the Valley Of Spirits in Orgrimmar (38, 81).

For Everybody

Some books don’t care about your faction. They’re up for grabs by anyone:

Barrens Oil Rig (Barrens 56, 8) – climb up & snag the Arcanic Systems Manual.

Right outside the Wailing Caverns portal (Barrens 53, 56), Secrets Of The Dreamers is waiting.

There’s a small hut near Kaya Flathoof in Stonetalon Mountains (74, 86) holding Fury Of The Land.

Baxtan: On Destructive Magics is chillin’ in a house near Gazlowe in Ratchet (Barrens 63, 35).

Head over to the Ambermill main building (Silverpine Forest 63, 62) for the Dalaran Digest.

In the Wetlands (34, 48), you’ll find Goaz Scrolls inside an urn at the excavation site.

Runes Of The Sorcerer Kings is tucked away in a cave in Loch Modan… just hug the left side inside.

Nar’thalas Almanac’s in Darkshore (58, 22), down the stairs in the ruins.

Crimes Against Anatomy? It’s in Duskwood, inside the left crypt of Raven Hill (16, 35).

Finally, scoot over to Moonbrook in Westfall (44, 70) for Bewitchments And Glamours.

Alliance Crew

For my Alliance folks, you’ve got your own set to chase down:

The Tower Of Azora in Elwynn Forest (64, 71) – that’s where Archmage Theocritus is hiding.

Rumi Of Gnomeregan’s either in Thelsamar in Loch Modan (37, 49) or the Westfall Inn (52, 53).

Last but not least, Ironforge library (74, 11) is where you’ll find Archmage Antonidas chilling with his books.
