Secret Seashell Locations

As opposed to the original game, there are 50 Secret Seashells in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for Switch. Finding 20 of these will reward you with a Seashell Sword and finding 40 will reward you with a Koholint Sword.

1. Mabe Village

The first one is hidden in the upper side of the grass opposite the Town Tool shop.

There should be a Secret Seashell for you to win at the Trendy Game shop. You might’ve to win an item first to make it appear.

3. Mysterious Forest

It’s found inside a chest blocked by a rock that you can pick up using the Power Bracelet. You can find the chest in the southern edge of the forest.

You can dig it up from a heap of leaves near the northern edge of the forest.

To find this one, you need to dig in the middle of the area with 8 flowers forming a square.

6. Martha’s Bay

This one is hidden in the grass on the south side of the phone booth in the area.

There are some bushes near the statue. Cut them down to find the collectible.

You need to head over to the shack near the east side of Toronbo Shores and smash the pots in the area to find it.

9. Richard’s Villa

Once you’re in Richard’s basement, push the rock on the left side and continue across the gap to find it in a chest.

10. Ukuku Prairie

You need to go to the owl’s statue using the caves and dig near the left of it to find another Secret Seashell. You’ll find the statue near the phone booth.

11. Ukuku Prairie

You need to head over to Kanalet Castle and toward the area with round structures. Once there, look for a giant piece of rock and pick it up to find the collectible.

12. Seashell Mansion

This one is hidden in the grass on the right side of the Seashell Mansion.

13. Yarna Desert

You should be able to find two rocks near a cliff. You need to pick them up to find another Secret Seashell underneath one of them.

14. Ancient Ruins

Similar to the one in Ukuku Prairie, go to the area with round objects. Once there, look for a single rock and find it underneath it.

15. Goponga Swamp

You need to exit the area from the east side to find a signpost with rocks surrounding it. You need to pick these rocks up to find it.

16. Mt. Tamaranch

You need to go to the southwest edge of the Wind Fish Egg to find some rocks on a cliff. The collectible is under these rocks.

17. Tal Tal Mountain Range

You need to jump into the waterfall to find it inside.

To find it, you need to go across the bridge near the hencoop and look for it under one of the three rocks.

19. Ukuku Prairie

This one is found hanging from a tree outside Mabe Village, near a phone booth. You’ll need Pegasus Boots to get it.

20. Mabe Village

You need to go to the house with CiaoCiao and dig the right side to find it.

21. Toronbo Shores

To find this one, you require Pegasus Boots to get it. You need to get to the west of the Toronbo Shores to find a few trees, one of which has the collectible.

22. Tail Cave

This one is found on a tree on the left of the entrance of Tail Cave. You’ll need Pegasus Boots to find it.

You need to traverse through the cave and blow up a weak wall to find it inside the secret room.

24. Key Cavern

You need to go to the right side of the entrance to find a staircase and dig the clear patch of land surrounded by grass to find it.

You can find one inside the lake on the north side of the area.

26. Witch’s Hut

On the south side of the area, you need to look for a staircase. Once in the area, dig the area near the pads to find it.

27. Face Shrine

This is actually in the Ancient Ruins area on the southern edge of the Face Shrine. You can find it near the three Armos Knight statues.

28. Face Shrine

There should be a staircase on the left side of the shrine that leads to an exit. There’s a chest containing the collectible nearby.

29. Eagles Tower

It’s in the same room as the one with the anti-Kirby inside.

30. Animal Village

To find it, you need to speak to Zora while having a Magnifying Glass to get it.

31. Animal Village

You need to give Christine the Goat her letter to get one in return.

32. Tal Tal Heights

You need to toss a bomb into the hole near the fast travel station of the area to find it.

33. Turtle Rock

You need to travel east from the phone booth in the area to come across a clearing with rocks nearby – dig the area to grab the collectible.
